Moonfleet Crimson Tide Competition to win your very own Fallen Star!

The French Blue Diamond

Free entry for this exciting competition with prizes including gems, Artists sets,  Rhyming Dictionaries and signed copies of Moonfleet Crimson Tide.

The competition will open on February 1st, 2026, and will close on November 21st, 2026. With prize winners being announced shortly afterwards. The author's decision will be final and be based on his perception of the artistic quality of the piece submitted here:  competition2026@nauticalgraffiti.com

The submissions will be grouped into:

• Under 6 years old
• 7-8 years old
• 9-10 years old
• 12-14 years old
• 15-16 Years Old

The best submission in each category will be gathered together, and then one will be drawn at random, without comparison. The winner will win the first prize. Prize winners will be notified by email shortly after the final deadline. 

The other four will win a runners-up prize.

The competition is open to all individuals under the age of 16 worldwide. However, all text submissions must be written in the English language.

Overview: To enter the competition, you need only to read the book, available online from January 1st 2026, or listen to the audio story, which will be available on Audible and, if requested, should be available from your local library in the UK. No proof of purchase is required to enter, but knowing the story will be very beneficial.

You will need to email competition2026@nauticalgraffiti.com with either a picture, a poem, or song lyrics as described below. Please note that only one submission per person will be considered.

Please include your age and what your submission relates to in the book. 

Rules:

1. Send a picture, illustration, painting, drawing or other, but not created using AI, but by your own hand, that artistically represents a scene from the story, Moonfleet Crimson Tide.
2. Or send a poem or song lyric not created by AI and not more than 150 words, that could artistically describe a scene or emotion from the story Moonfleet Crimson Tide.

The best submissions will be made available online; however, no feedback on submissions can be supplied unless you are a winner or a finalist.

 

First prize will be a fabulously sparkling Cubic Zirconia special replica of the French Blue Diamond.

 

This gem is an amazing 68.9ct. In truth, to buy it now would cost $100's, not $100's of millions, like the original. But as you can see in the image below, it could still be treasured by the lucky winner, along with an Artists set, a Rhyming Dictionary and copy of the book Moonfleet Crimson Tide, signed by the author.
